Preview: West Ham v Everton

West Ham United are set to face the next challenge in their fight to stay in the Barclays FA Women’s Super League when Everton are the visitors to The Chigwell Construction Stadium this afternoon.

The Hammers are just a point above the Barclays FA Women’s Super League’s relegation zone while Everton are currently in fifth place, the position where they are likely to finish this season.

The last time these two teams met back in October, Everton won 3-1 at Walton Hall Park. Nicoline Sorensen fired The Blue Girls ahead before Kenza Dali soon levelled matters. A second half double from Lucy Graham handed the hosts a comprehensive victory.

West Ham United come into the game having taken four points from their last two Barclays FA Women’s Super League fixtures while Everton have won their last three matches in all competitions.

Olli Harder could make changes to his side following a frustrating goalless draw with Aston Villa in midweek with Maz Pacheco and Martha Thomas amongst those players likely to be considered for recalls. On-loan goalkeeper Emily Ramsey returned to parent club Manchester United yesterday while The Hammers remain without injured duo Lois Joel and Adriana Leon.

Everton travel to East London without defender Danielle Turner who is ruled out for the remainder of the season while the club will offer a late fitness test to midfielder Maeva Clemaron. Simone Magill will be available for selection.

West Ham United’s Barclays FA Women’s Super League fixture against Everton will kick-off at 3pm and will be available for fans to stream live on the FA player.
