Preview: Watford V Liverpool

Watford welcome Liverpool to Vicarage Road this afternoon for their first home game back in the FA Women’s Championship.

Both teams will want to put some points on the table after losing their respective matches on the opening weekend. Liverpool lost 1-0 to London City Lionesses at Prenton Park while Watford were defeated 2-1 at Durham.

Watford put on a good showing at Durham last weekend despite their narrow defeat. Forward Flo Fyfe netted an impressive goal in the North East and she will be hoping to follow that up against latest opponents Liverpool.

Liverpool will be looking to the likes of Leanne Kiernan and Rianna Dean to get the goals in Hertfordshire as The Reds aim to get some vital points on the board. Georgia Walters joined Liverpool yesterday on a non-contractual basis following a successful trial and the centre forward will be hoping to get some minutes on the pitch to show some of her talent.

The FA Women’s Championship fixture between Watford and Liverpool kicks-off at 2pm this afternoon. Fans are permitted to attend with tickets available until kick-off. Admission is priced at £12 for adults and £5 for over 65s, students and under-16s.
