Preview: Brighton & Hove Albion v Everton

Brighton & Hove Albion face Everton on Sunday with both teams eyeing the three points as they look to cement their places in the top half of the Barclays FA Women’s Super League table.

Hope Powell’s Albion side recently ended Chelsea’s 33-match unbeaten record in the Barclays FA Women’s Super League and have since gone on to win four games on the bounce. Albion are sure to come out fighting on Sunday as they bid for that fifth straight win.

Albion boss Powell could name a similar side to the one which defeated Aston Villa 2-0 last time out. The Seagulls are not thought to have any fresh injury concerns in their squad.

Everton have recently been without goalkeeper Sandy Maclver and defender Danielle Turner through injury. Manager Willie Kirk has indicated that Maclver is back in training and in contention but Turner will be out for the rest of the season.

The Blue Girls were defeated 3-0 by Chelsea at Walton Hall Park in their last match and they will be keen to bounce back with a positive performance at The People’s Pension Stadium on Sunday.

Brighton & Hove Albion’s Barclays FA Women’s Super League fixture against Everton is scheduled to kick-off at 12.30pm on Sunday afternoon and will be available for fans to stream live on the FA Player.
